Save ADAP Goes to Washington, D.C on September 27-29, 2004

Save ADAP (http://ga1.org/ct/t1qEh741g7Gy/ATAC_ADAP) is going
to Washington D.C. on September 27-29, 2004 to educate members
of the U. S. Congress on the need for emergency funding for the
crumbling AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP). People living
with HIV/AIDS and service providers are invited to join.
There will be a half-day orientation on September 27th, followed
by visits to both your U.S. Senators and House Representative on
the two remaining days.
Save ADAP is providing 50 full scholarships for people who
cannot afford to pay for the Save ADAP trip to Washington, D.C.
themselves. Priority will be given to: ADAP clients, people on
ADAP waiting lists, women, people of color, PLWH/A and frontline
service providers living in ADAP crisis states: Alabama, Alaska,
Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky,
Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New
Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South
Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia
and Wyoming.
