Good web site on dry skin and milk/yogurt remedies -
http://www.fatfreekitchen.com/beauty/dry-skin.html
I am a firm believer of Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon,
but will try other information,
even from a site that details it's self as "fat free".
Since my teens I have had problems with my skin, and during
my recent research I found out about "Keratosis Pilaris".
In researching "Keratosis Pilaris" and "Ichthyosis", I took
away some things about skin care that have been working
for me.
The main item is that milk can be good for you externally!
I have been using yogurt as a facial mask. Yogurt has
lactic acid, yet is soothing at the same time.
Apply (yogurt) to skin, let dry, wash off with water.
Personally, once the yogurt is dry, I have just been
"scrubbing" off with a wash cloth.
It seems to tighten skin and loosens dead skin which seems to
come off with the dried yogurt. I am careful with any sensitive
spots and instead of rubbing, I sometimes apply more yogurt.
Some other foods with "lactic acid"
Yogurt, "milk kefir", "water kefir", and sauerkraut.
