Brain Facts 2005 - HD Facts/Support to Funding Requests   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #91 of 447 |
I know I've promoted the SfN's Brain Facts pamphlet in the past because it offers excellent information on the human brain and how it affects various symptoms.  Brain Facts 2005 is a 64 page PDF document available on-line, or you can request hard copies for handing out.  In my personal opinion the 2005 edition of Brain Facts contains very informative information on Huntington's Disease as well as New Diagnostic Methods & Potential Therapies relating to HD which you could use to promote HD awareness, provide facts about HD and/or support requests for funding for HD research!

I've copied the pertinent sections on HD onto the attached.....not to violate any copyrights but for you to use when after you get hard copies of this pamphlet and hand them out for "talking" about HD or highlighting those sections in the handbook!  Yesterday Karen Karle [USF HDSA CoE Social Worker] and I had an interview with Frank Kopczynski for his radio show, the Criminal Justice Forum www.criminaljusticeforum.com
on Huntington's Disease [more on than later].  Naturally I went harmed with several handouts of information on HD and wish I had thought to remember to include Brain Facts as well!

Below is the information on how to download a copy of the 2005 Brain Facts or request hard copies. The SfN was very gracious in sending us a few dozen copies of the previous edition for our 2004 Florida HD Conference on my request.

When there are excellent resources available, free, that can help our HD cause, I suggest we all use 'em!!

Love
Jean
