This message is for anyone who will be arriving in Phoenix June 3rd for NYA Day. I was just asked why the NYA Day scheduled events for June 4th is not reflected in HDSA's 2009 National Convention Agenda. The reason is that NYA Day is only open to young adults living with HD and is separate from the regular three-day HDSA National Convention planned events.
The 2nd Annual NYA Day is firming up to be a GREAT event for all of our young people living with HD and we all deeply appreciate HDSA's [and some very special sponsors] for making this annual event possible! For planning purposes, parents are invited to attend the NYA Day activities as follows:
Wednesday, June 3rd
Meet & Greet Pool Party scheduled for 6:00PM - 9:00PM
Thursday, June 4th NYA Day:
08:00 AM - 8:45AM Kick off/breakfast
12:00 PM - 1:45 PM lunch
06:00 PM - 9:00 PM NYA and Family night of Bowling
This tentative agenda can be found on the NYA HDSA webpage: http://www.hdsa.org/nya/convention/nya-day.html. As soon as the program is finalized it will be reflected on that link. For anyone who hasn't registered for NYA Day you may do so on the same link. Please note that the overnight stay for Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009 will be covered by the HDSA. However you must make the hotel reservations yourself then provide HDSA with the hotel confirmation number so that they can arrange to have that one night deducted from your final hotel bill.
Please be sure to check the HDSA's 2009 National Convention Agenda [http://www.hdsa.org/images/content/1/1/11849.pdf] for the Educational Tracks and Events highlighted in GREEN for programs planned by the HDSA Convention Planning Committee for NYA/young people living with HD. Typically, parents are invited to the NYA lunch scheduled for Friday, June 5th but are requested to leave for NYA business discussions.
Can't wait to see everyone who will be there!
