For anyone in the Massachusetts/Eastern States area, hopefully you can
attend! Remember, Stockbridge is up in the moutains, away from all the
recent flooding and should make for a fun weekend!

Subject: Garbage Trail Walk This Sunday!

Hello, friends, colleagues, relatives, classmates.hell, everybody I know!

I wanted to invite you to join us at the 2006 Arlo Guthrie's Historic
Garbage Trail Walk to Massacree Huntington's Disease on Sunday, May 21st in
Stockbridge, Massachusetts at 10:00 a.m. This is our sixth Garbage Trail
Walk! "The Garbage Trail is a 6.6-mile route through Great Barrington and
Stockbridge, Massachusetts past key sites in Arlo's "Alice's Restaurant
Massacree." We gather around 9:30.

It starts at "The Church," now The Guthrie Center and erstwhile site of that
infamous Thanksgiving Dinner "that couldn't be beat." on up to the site of
the dump that was "Closed on Thanksgivin'." We move onto the Stockbridge
Police Station, the "police officer station" of the late much loved "Officer
Obie," ending at the original site of Alice's Restaurant, now Theresa's
Stockbridge Café. Walkers will be shuttled back to The Church in VW
Microbusses by their volunteer owners. Water stops will be stocked with ice
cream and other health foods.

Weather permitting we have about 200 walkers. Rain dampened the event last
year but our drenched but determined brigade collected nearly $13,000. Over
the year's we raised nearly $65,000. Last year we gave half to Casa Hogar,
an HD care facility in Maracaibo, Venezuela and the other half the
International Huntington's Association's Marjorie Guthrie Fund for
individuals beginning to organize HD societies in their countries.

Many of you are Garbage Trail veterans and can vouch for the fact that we
always have a blast!

There's a pledge sheet at http://www.guthriecenter.org/garbagewalk.shtml

I hope that you can join us! A splendid time is guaranteed for all! It's
turned into a Spring ritual for many of us! It's a beautiful route, fun and
for a very good cause!!!

I hope that you can join us! A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

Thanks as always!
See you there!
Cure Huntington's Disease!

Warmly,

Jimmy Pollard
