RE: [Grief_Group] Third Day

Nothing much to say to this other than AMEN!

"Hugging is a means of getting two people so close together that they

Subject : RE: [Grief_Group] Third Day

I was blessed to be given some tickets to see Third Day in concert.
They talked about how their new album was born out of their life
struggles and how God has met them in those challenges.

Grief accentuates life challenges. But everyone struggles with
intense issues on many levels. In fact, life itself is the great
leveler, and when we come to the secure place of humility before
God, truly loving each other, and an understanding that we don't
have all the answers and that we need one another, we really start
growing.

I appreciated their openness to share their hurts, fears, and even
failures. When we can do this and support one another rather than
judge or hurt, we can be part of the healing rather than heaping
more hurt and pain onto an already difficult situation.

I write this here because many of you are really good at supporting
others. Why? Because you've come through, are going through, or just
plain understand deep pain because of significant losses in your
life. You're fully aware how stacking more pain on an already
difficult situation is only going to prolong the hurt and healing
time.

For those of you here who have worked through some of the deep, deep
hurts and are now finding yourself helping others, God be with you.
II Corinthians 1:3-7

For those of you here that are still amidst great loss and pain that
you see no deliverance from, please hold on. Hold on to God's
promises that you can bring him your heavy burdens; hold on to the
reality that others really love you, care about you and sit with you
in your pain; hold on, there's coming a day we'll all be reunited by
God's power and grace.

Hold on.

In Christ's boundless love,

John
