Betty,
First of all, I'm sorry it took so long for me to
respond back to your beautiful post! It's been a busy
week planning Mother's Day at school.

I just wanted to say Thank you so much from the bottom
of my heart for your most beautiful response. The
things you said to me and prayed for me were exactly
what I needed to hear. You told me that I am doing an
okay job coping with everything. Thank you for saying
that. People around me tell me that too, but I don't
feel like I am. I just miss my mom so much, it hurts!
I put these expectations on myself and think that I
shouldn't be a certain way because I've gone through
all this before with my dad, even though that was
almost 25 years ago! I feel like because of the job
that I'm in I need to put past my sadness and focus on
my job, which was this week, all about mom's and
making their Mother's Day a good one. Making everyone
else's feelings more important than mine.

"you're not an orphan when it comes to God and you
were blessed with parents you loved and whom I'm sure
loved you.  All I can say is you will survive and God
will NEVER leave you alone one second of
time."----Thank you!!!!!! Thank you for reminding me
of this fact!! I needed that!! 

By the way, "That being said...those are words I'm
sure you've heard before and right now they probably
just seem like words and make you want to smack me for
saying what seems like just another pat answer to your
hurts from someone who's not standing in your shoes."
No, I don't want to smack you ( :) )for saying,
sometimes I just need to be reminded and you said it
in a way that was new and uplifting!

I want you to know how special that e-mail was to me!
I have read it and re-read it time and time again!!
Everything you said in there was everything I needed
to hear. I only have a few friends who are
Christians, but they've never been through any of this
before. My siblings are Christians, but they are
going through their own grief. I thank you SO much
for the encouraging and uplifting words you said!!!!

Thank you again SO much!!!!! You're exactly what I
needed!
