The primary goal of this list is to create an online community to serve the needs of people who are at least one year out from WLS and have passed the pre-op and immediate post-op periods.

Hopefully it will be a place for longer-term "Graduates" of WLS to meet and share issues that arise after at least one year has elapsed since surgery and real life begins to settle in. These might include issues like weight maintenance, body image, happy success stories, serious warning stories, long-term living ideas.

To try to maintain a reasonable volume of mail and encourage "Graduates" to stay online, people less than one year out from surgery MAY NOT POST TO THE LIST but may quietly lurk and listen. If at least one year has elapsed since your surgery and you wish to post, please send a message to the list introducing yourself. Include when you had your surgery and any other details you wish to share.

Under no circumstances may anyone promote commercial products in which they have a personal financial stake. Under no circumstances may anyone detract from commercial products in which another list member has a personal financial stake. Messages posted to this board are subject to moderation by the list-owner at any time.
