Dear Terri,
I started Jan or Feb of 2007 and except for the 2 months of sickness in Dec and Jan I have not had very few weeks off the diet. My Hubby would go crazy he can tell when I cheat. I don't prepare very much we go all natural such as.... every morning I eat my egg with 2 slices of sugar free whole wheat toast with peanut butter and I split my banana on top or I will sub bran cereal with unsweetened raisins with a little splenda or small whole wheat bagel with light cream cheese and a fruit on the side. When I shop bananas are my main fruit and to keep my portions I only buy the smaller bananas so that I don't go overboard. I never miss my eggs in the morning plus I add in the protein from the morning snack to my breakfast and cook 1 whole egg with 4 egg whites and then just use my milk from my snack during lunch. I don't eat breakfast until 8:30am so I don't crash before lunch. My lunch is usually chicken breast tenders with ranch and carrots or tomatoes just plain. My chicken has breading so that is my carb and I have a sugar free pudding cup because lunch was hard with nothing sweet to end with. To make lunches different I will also have a chicken salad or use different flavors of chicken since being pregnant I am in love with the buffalo chicken tenders even though I get major heartburn after lunch but the milk in the pudding helps alittle. For afternoon snack I have a fruit usually apple, banana or strawberries with carrots, broccoli, or tomatoes on the side and to dip my fruit in for the fat I use peanut butter or I use 1 to 2 wedges of laughing cow light original mixed with a little splenda with my strawberries its like having strawberry cheesecake. For Dinner my husband is prediabetic and so we stay away from high carbs and so I will fix a meat usually chicken with different spices just sprinkled on or pork tenderloin cooked in the crock pot. We have fish once to twice a week and it is just lightly breaded cod for me. If I want the carbs I just add Whole Wheat Sugar Free bread with butter or I share in the kids kraft mac and cheese but I measure instead of emptying the pot. We have frozen veggies everynight and I have a fruit for dessert. I have not felt like hot coco for some reason lately but jello just put out a dark chocolate pudding that hits my chocolate craving just right. I am sure my taste buds will change after the baby comes I had hot cocoa for a year and only changed after getting pregnant. So as you can see I don't really have much prep because I don't make huge recipes or cassoroles. I hope that you can find away to make it easy because the harder the work the harder it is to stay on track.
Amy

Hi,
How long have you been doing this?
How do you manage all the planning and prep that goes into this diet?
I posted a general message about how I am doing on the site.
Take care,
Terri

Hi -- I have been following the good mood diet from day to day. I feel
more energetic and have a positive outlook.
The purpose of my dieting is to gain energy and work toward a positive
mood every day. I find that the mini meals and snacks help with both
energy and mood.
The positive thing about the diet is that you can follow it as little
as having an egg a day, protein shake and cocoa before bedtime.
Good Luck!! > ~wr
