Hi Amy,
Congradulations!
For losing 100#, and for having a much easier time with your mood
with this pregnancy.
I am encouraged that this can work as a lifestyle, instead of the "D"
word. I am on day 4 and have stuck completely to it except for this
morning. My niece works at a bakery, and opens the store on Thursday
morning. I always stop there on my way to work and get a cup of
coffee and a (very yummy) carrot-cream cheese muffin. My intention
was to just get the coffee, say 'hi' and be on my way. Well, I did
get the muffin. I am ok with that though. I am going to go to an
aerobics class today in addition to walking the dog after dinner. I
started walking the dog on Monday, and by last night I was even
looking forward to it.
I haven't had too many cravings (except for the muffin) but when I
did, knowing I am having cocoa before bed helped me to have water, or
carrot sticks, or gum.
I can't say that I have noticed much of a change in my mood.
According to the book, it should be the first day, but that may be
unrealistic. I do suffer from cyclic depression and it may take
longer for me to see any benefits.
Thanks for writing, and I look forward to hearing more about how this
has worked for you.
