RE: [Goodmooddietclub] Just Finished 1st Week

I feel the same way!  The only difference is that I've slipped.  BUT, I'm still eating better than I ever have even with those slips.  I still need to learn how to deal with the less-than-positive feelings like frustration, anger and disappointment.  I'm working on it.  But I feel so great that the weight loss will just be a bonus.

I would love to know what you on-the-go meals are.  I have a little one who's on a modified plan and sometimes I have to take things with me when we go out.  Oh, and can't forget the mornings when we have to run out the door to get my nephew to school and we depend on granola bars and fruit.

Congrats on your first week!  May it be one of a lifetime of great ones!

Subject: [Goodmooddietclub] Just Finished 1st Week

I just finished my first week of the program and I can't believe how
amazingly different I feel. I went on this program for a variety of
reasons: 1) I need to lose weight (somewhere in the range of 60-70
lbs.) 2) I just want to feel good in general 3) I'm a stress-eater so
when I'm tired, grouchy, moody, sad, or depressed I wolf down large
amount of sugar and carbs. Which in turn makes me more depressed thus
the cycle repeats itself.

What appealed to me about this program was its promise of a "good
mood" because I figured if I can be in a good mood most of the time
the likelihood of reason 3 from above to occur is going to be rare.

And so far so good! These are the benefits I have recorded so far.
(Some of these things beginning after 1-2 days on the plan)

-Tons more energy
-I sleep great
-I have not had one single craving (except for my evening cocoa which
I don't really consider a craving more like I'm just looking forward
to it.)
-My skin is softer and clearer
-My mood is amazing! No more "down dooby down"...just stable it is
fantastic.
-Have not been hungry once, it seems like I am always eating!

The food preparation is timely. I work full-time and go to school in
the evenings so I have to prepare and pack my entire menu the night
before. Depending on how involved the recipes are depends on how long
I'm in the kitchen. I even prepare my mid-morning smoothie the night
before and keep it in a screw-on top water bottle in the fridge
overnight. I shake it up real good before I drink it the next day add
a straw and it tastes great. (However if you do this be forewarned
that some fruits like blueberries and bananas will change color
overnight in the fridge and your smoothie will not look nearly as
appetizing the next day...but still tastes the same!)

I know I have only been on it a week, but I have not waivered
once...nor do I feel the desire to. As far as the weight loss is
concerned I have not weighed myself since the day before I started
and I don't plan to until next Wednesday. We will see how that turns
out. But honestly I feel so great that the weight loss will just be
an added benefit at this point.

I also found that some meals are easier to prepare for on the go
people...so if you have any questions about how I'm managing it
please feel free to contact me!

Here's to all of us and our good moods!
Warmest Regards,
Michelle

Hi Julie! The first thing I invested in was a monstrous lunchbag, but it ensures that I can hold everything in it and keep it cool all day. On mornings when I...

Thanks Michelle! I'll be adding your ideas to my plan for sure. One question: What's "wheat flat out bread"? BTW, lovin' the spinach, cuke & tomato idea. I...

They are whole-grain wraps that are soft and yummy! I tried buying the whole wheat tortilla wraps and they would just fall apart everytime I made a wrap. The...
