Hi all,

Finally back on line after week with the flu.
Have just completed my second week on Glivec.
I learnt today why they say to stay vertical for thirty minutes after
taking it. layed on the floor playing with the dog, had an almost
instantaneous reaction....reflux and a coughing fit that persisted
for about 15 minutes. I shall not be doing that again real soon.

As yet I have not experienced any other side effects.

I am also still taking Hydrea, is anyone else doing this, although in
this last week they reduced the dose down to 1 gram per day. My
ONC/HEM says it is common protocol to continue Hydrea in early stages
of STI treatment.
