Gender Issues in the Medical Profession
To support work being done in universities and medical colleges around the world to describe, understand and work with the implications of medicine being a man-made profession. Now that women are present in medicine in nearly equal numbers as men, to explore the implications for the profession, and for female and male doctors. To develop the expertise to advocate for systematic consideration of gender issues for doctors in undergraduate and postgraduate medical curricula. To examine the impact of the absence of women in the development of the profession on the content and structure of the profession.
