Description
GaySober2 is an ADULT discussion list for lesbian and gay people in recovery from alcoholism and/or drug addiction. However, WE ARE NOT A TWELVE STEP AFFILIATED GROUP. But, many of us are members of Twelve Step groups. Therefore, we will discourage any bashing of AA or other twelve step fellowships - or any path that works for the member. All paths to recovery are welcome.
Healthy, energetic, discussions and even respectful debates are encouraged. Trolling for a fight is not. We find it to our best interest to discourage flaming of any kind. Good orderly direction is an asset in recovery.
If you are a recovering alcoholic and/or drug addict, you are very welcome here to share your experience, strength and hope with us so we can help each other to stay clean and sober.
GaySober2 serves primarily as a mailing-list. It means that what you send to Gaysober2 can be read by all members. You can either post a message by replying to a message in the e-mail program you are using or by using the web-interface. On the other hand if you have something to say to somebody but you don't want it to be read by everybody on the list you can e-mail to him or her directly. If you post something on GaySober2 you are very likely to get a reply and there is always somebody out there who reads, cares and understands. You can make it is as anonymous as you need and you decide how personal or detailed you can or want to get. You make the list work for you, by just reading and of course by posting and getting replies. By posting you make it work for all other members too.
