Brenda, I think I got stuck at like 195 pounds… stayed that way for what seemed like
forever, then I started losing again. Your body just might need to catch up to
the weight loss, so don’t panic.
Now that I’m a year out of surgery, I think I’m done losing any weight
just because I had surgery and now it’s time to buckle down and do it the hard
way… hard way being I HATE exercise.
D’Ann and I have been walking and doing the SOUL Empowerment thing, but
with the weather getting nice, I am tired of walking the treadmill. But.. not
going to the gym M-F I find I don’t stick with the program as well…. Too many things get in the way, number
1 being my son. If I walk he has to ride his bike with me, so I have to watch
where we go to be sure he’s safe and he tires easily. Not to mention just
getting us both ready and out the door is a big pain some days. This summer,
once school is out, D’Ann and I were talking about joining the YMCA for the
kids programs and daycare so that we could still do our thing while they are
kept busy, but I’m think you both are talking about the Y over by Lowe’s. I live near downtown Evansville and the
“old” Y is much closer to me. With the price of gas and just the time it would
take me to drive to get to the “new” Y, I’m just not sure I can do it at this
time every single day. I do plan on joining the Y this summer, probably sooner
then I expected just to be sure they are offering the things I’m looking for. I’ll
be upset to join the family plan there and find I have to pay extra for Ben to
do some of their programs.
If you all are thinking of doing the Y downtown, then I’m in… once summer gets here I can pretty much
do anytime of the day, though I prefer to do mornings to get it out of the way… but I’m more then willing to try to go
whenever it’s good for everyone else. Maybe, if all else fails, I can meet you
all a couple days a week at the new Y then do the rest of the week alone downtown
or walking my park here.. something!
