Lol, I’m happy you aren’t having any trouble! But it really is unfair. March
7th was my 1 year anniversary and I still can’t eat beef, not even
ground beef. Sometimes pasta bothers me and I avoid bread just because I know
once I start eating it again that I’ll continue. I don’t know how it will
affect me.
Last night I made Tim his favorite food that his mom usually makes for
him when we go visit… cabbage
rolls (yuck). I haven’t cooked with hamburger meat in a year, only ground
turkey. Not thinking I took a few bites of the meat roll and felt miserable all
evening. Even Ben commented on the meat tasting weird. The only beef he gets is
from the infrequent Happy Meals he gets.
It is probably a good thing I have trouble or I’d probably be gaining
back some of the weight. As it is I have hit a block and can’t lose anymore. D’Ann
and I have been going to a gym, walking the treadmill and lifting weights in
hopes of being able to shed more pounds and still nothing. Though I feel better
and am able to do more stuff, I’m getting discouraged that I’m stuck at this
weight. In total, I have lost 70 pounds, I was 246 the day of surgery. It would
be nice to lose another 40, but I’ll be happy with 20. The good thing about all
this is my blood sugar levels are normal and my blood pressure is excellent,
even after activities.
Keep lurking, I’m sure there are other men out there that check in and
don’t post… maybe you can be some help to them J
