Immediately and up to about 3 months post op I was in a panic..
thinking "what have I done!" My protein shakes were horrible and I
was in the bathroom every hour with severe stomach pains. My friend
that had the surgery done about 12 months before me couldn't remember
so well how it was for her so she was of no help!
www.Obesityhelp.com put me in touch with people that were right at my
stage and having the exact same problems I was having. The more
experience GBP were there to help answer their questions, which in
turn answered all of mine. You could also see the weightloss of others
and it gave me hope that I wasn't failing miserably at this eating
thing. There is a section there also for recipes from everything from
protein shakes, cookies and candy to holiday meals. I still check it
out. After about 3 months post op I stopped scanning the internet for
stuff and got most of my information from my notebook that the clinic
gave me and asking on this forum and asking D'Ann questions. I think
after 3-4 months I pretty much knew what my body could handle and
pretty much knew what to expect and it just became a way of life.
