D'Ann.... I was just wondering what you are doing for clothes as you
lose weight. I think this is one of my biggest worries about having
the surgery.. losing weight so fast and not having the clothes to
wear. In the past I have gotten clothes from Freecycle and
Cheapcycle, but you have to be paying close attention and hope you are
the first to respond to get most of the clothes. I do have some
clothes that were too small when I bought them and I never returned
them, but most of my "skinny" clothes (meaning clothes that I've
outgrown) have been ruined when our basement flooded, so I don't have
a lot to fall back on. I'm a horrible bargain shopper and can never
find the great deals at Goodwill or the Thrift Stores like my
daughter-in-law can, so I can see this becoming expensive.
Another big worry is exercising. What kind of exercises help the most
with the loose skin. I'm really worried about the fat under my arms. I
can see exercises that help with legs, and abs and such, but nothing
that really helps with the flab under the arms. I've started doing
stretches and some weight lifting... and we try to walk the dogs as
much as the rain will allow, but it's not the kind of walking that
makes you break a sweat.
Any information is much appreciated... I like being for-warned so I
can prepare.
