welcome to the Guillain-Barré Syndrome and CIDP support and chat forum. We are sorry that illness has bought you here, but are glad you have found us. Please know that you have found much more than an online email group; you have found a friendly home.

This group has been running since January 2001 and is a big part of many peoples lives. We are now settled here on Yahoo (we hope!!). We share many facets of our personalities here through humour, stories, doctors visits, venting, supporting, and we try to share the newest information we find. Please know that you are now a valued member of our family and are welcome to just jump in any place.

Please note: We are a global community with members from all over the world. Therefore we support the right for everyone to have his or her own beliefs, which may or may not be different to your own. If there is a discussion thread you dislike or if there is a religious or political comment that is different from your own view, ignore it. We are bonded by illness yet are still individuals.

Feel free to introduce yourself or jump into a conversation. No vent is too short or too long, and no question is ever stupid. We want to help you get the most from your life with this illness, be it you who is the one suffering, or the care provider to a loved one with this syndrome. Your post may not always be replied to immediately so please be patient. We can't always reply to everyone immediately.
