Hi Nelson,
•Nurse Connections would be a great program for the people in your support group to know about! It is a FREE service to patients and providers that connects a person taking FUZEON with a highly trained nurse who will come to their home to help them gain confidence in their ability to prepare and inject FUZEON. This is not meant to replace the training done at the physician's office, but instead to be complimentary.
A FUZEON Connections nurse will be able to answer questions and concerns, and share tips to help people make Fuzeon a routine part of daily life. The visit takes place in the home, so it is a good idea to have a partner or caregiver around as well.
Nurse-to-Patient Connections support services include in-home training and instruction with a nurse to:
-
•Prepare FUZEON for injection•Explain proper injection techniques•Help manage injection anxiety•Instruct a caregiver on how to inject FUZEON
To use Nurse Connections, a person should talk to his/her healthcare provider or call 877-4FUZEON to enroll.
Let me know if you have any questions about Nurse Connections and I will happily answer them! Jim also mentioned that you are looking for help to promote your virtual support group. I have some ideas and will get back to you as soon as I know if they will be feasible.
Thanks for everything you do!
-Bethany Greer
