Dear Mr Haught:
My name is Nelson Vergel. I live in Houston and have been a HIV treatment advocate and lecturer for the past 15 years. I am also a member of the AIDS Treatment Activists Coalition, ATAC.
The reason I am contacting you is to get some clarification about some confusing information we are getting. Is Fuzeon now included in the Texas ADAP system? If so, is it true that there are certain exclusions (like needing at least two active drugs in the background for Fuzeon)? I would really appreciate if you could clarify this for us. I hear that there are more than 60 people in Texas in a waiting list for Roche's patient assistance program but Roche would not accept them hoping that ADAP will.
Thanks for your time.

AIDS is not over. There are 42 million people infected with HIV and 20 million people have died so far while 14,000 people are infected every day. 8,000 people die everyday of AIDS while rich nations and pharmaceutical companies watch. Only 5% of those needing treatment get it. We will be remembered by future generations as the people who allowed greed and profits to be more important than human suffering and lives. Let's not turn our backs to the new holocaust!
