The higher the number, the thinner the needle is. The supplied syringes are 25 or 27 gauge.

 

There may be 2CC diabetic syringes, too, that make pushing down the plunger a little less awkward.

 

The point is, there are much less painful options. Talk to your doctor and best wishes!

Good luck on starting the Fuzeon. I have been on it for 3 years and never thought I would be able to use the needles but everything has worked out okay. I do not use the needles that come in the kit for injections I buy a thinner needle from walgreens that works much better. gary
