Q1. I think I will prepare two vials for the evening/next day as I
take my lastly refrigerated vial and inject it. Do I have to let the
solution fully dissolve and settle before refrigerating? Or can I mix
it and refrigerate it while it's still dissolving?
NO, AS LONG AS YOU BLEND THE LIQUID WITH THE POWDER. IT TAKES LIKE 10 MIN FOR THE POWDER TO FULLY DISOLVE. DO NOT MIX IT UP BECAUSE IT WILL BE TOO FOAMY TO INJECT. JUST LET IT SIT
I THINK MIXING THE TWO DAILY DOSES AT THE SAME TIME MADE IT EASIER FOR ME TO ADHERE SINCE I WAS TOO TIRED AT NIGHT TO GO THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS.
Q2. It seems to help by tapping the bottle to loosen up the powder
mix. Any tips/hints on helping the powder to dissolve faster?
UMM, NOT REALLY. I USED TO BLEND AND THEN TAKE A SHOWER. WHEN I WOULD COME OUT , IT WOULD BE DISSOLVED
Q3. Any other tips/advice on injection site rotations and how to
decrease the risk of bumps/hardened skin, itching, etc?
I DID NOT FOLLOW ALL THE RULES ON THE LABEL AND FOUND THAT INJECTING ON MY PECS WAS THE BEST PLACE WITH THE LEAST REACTIONS. I AVOIDED MY ABS AND LEGS AS MUCH AS I COULD. THE PUBIC HAIR AREA AND THE AREA WHERE THE TORSO MEETS THE LEGS WERE ALSO BETTER FOR ME AND HIDDEN UNDER MY ENDERWEAR IF REDNESS APPEARED. THE AREA CLOSE TO MY ARM PITS (BACK SIDE) WAS ALSO COOL.
Q4. Any general tips to using Fuzeon that you wish you had known when
you started?
ALWAYS USE 31 GAUGE NEEDLES. DO NOT USE THE ONES THEY SEND WITH THE PRODUCT. MASSAGE FOR AT LEAST 5 MINUTES.
Thanks for any tips, guidance and advice!
FINAL WORD: MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT YOU HAVE SEEN YOUR GENOTYPE TEST TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE ALSO TAKING AT LEAST ONE, PREFERABLY TWO, ACTIVE MEDICINES WITH FUZEON. PREZISTA, APTIVUS, MK518, TMC 125 ARE SOME EXAMPLES.
