If you could get your hands on some untreated bourette silk, you could
make some wonderful nursing pads. Just cut several circles, stack and
sew around. To make them breathable and still waterproof, add a layer
of 100% wool as the outside layer.

This silk still contains the natural silk glue which is said to have
soothing and healing effects on sore skin (Great idea for silk liners
for sore baby buns).
