Diaper Washing_: Another Laundry soap recipe
Thanks to Cindy for this Frugal Baby Tip!
1/3 bar Fels Naptha Laundry Soap, grated
1/2 cup Borax (usually known as "20 Mule Team")
1/2 cup Arm & Hammer powdered laundry soap
Hi there... I make this soap and have found a way to make it a little
more
"tightwaddy" ...I add about two quarts more water than is called for -
- makes it more the consistency of a regular laundry detergent...
Another tip, I add about a half cup of baking soda that I scent with
essential oil and it works even better..
BTW, I have extremely hard water, so I think this is why it helps.
Not sure about that, though. I love this soap -- I found my Fels
Naptha at all my local grocery stores here (Denver).
