Miscellaneous_: Washing Soda
Thanks to Catherine for this Frugal Baby Tip!
Michael started back to work as a lube mechanic last week, so I went
out and got some of the washing soda. Our hypo-allergenic soap just
wouldn't do it for his greasy uniforms.
This is the first time I've tried it, and was frankly surprised. I am
all out of our soap and have just been washing in water with 3 of
those laundry disks in the machine (which don't work - don't waste
your money on them!) Anyhow, a lot of our things have gotten hard over
the years and I just thought it was because they were old.
However, with just a couple of tbsp. of washing soda and nothing else,
our clothes are softening up! Even my menstrual pads - which I was
seriously thinking of replacing because they had gotten so hard and
uncomfortable, though still in good condition after 6 years!
Oh, and neither Josh or I reacted to it! A very important factor!!
