Diapering: Cloth vs. Disposables   Message List

Having been the cheapie that I am, I've gotten by with 2 dozen Gerber
($35 roughly) and 5 covers ($50 roughly). Now, my girlfriend uses
disposable diapers and as her baby has gotten older disposables get
more and more expensive. She probably spends $100/month right now on
disposables (I know she spends about $40 whenever we go to Costco, and
we go all the time).

My utility costs increase has been negligible. I haven't felt the
difference personally. My husband's stereo equipment probably saps
more energy than my front-loading energy efficient washer and dryer.
SHEESH!
