Dear Jo,
` I called the Knorr folks out in CA and asked if they had
fluoride in their "organic" juices. They of course
said "Absolutely not!" Then I asked how they sent
their products to NC and they indicated that the concentrate went to
Maryland and she gave me the Maryland phone number. When I asked
how they reconstituted their organic juice I was told that it was done
with city water...fluoridated!
Maybe we need to write articles for health food shops around the
country telling them that their organic produce and juices all have
fluorides in and on them. Pressure from these stores might start
with educating people that paying twice as much for "organic"
isn't worth it and don't buy them until they can guarantee there won't
be made with fluoridated water or have pesticide residue on
them.
I used to have (broken now) a fluoride detector and tested
my co-op produce wash water . Virtually all of it had
fluoride residues on them, especially those from CA; some had
more than those from regular grocery store produce that were not
organic.
Bummer!!
As we continue our fight against fluoridation here in mount vernon the
pro-fluoridationists are ahead and we are about 1/2 through the count.
They could win the battle, but they are long way from winning the war.
We are simply not going to give up.
My sister and I were talking about how we could go about nationally
fighting fluoridation. As many of you probably already know there is
fluoride in most reconstituted fruit juice and some of it, like apple
juice is very high. We were talking about boycotting juices that have
fluoride in it. It would be very difficult to boycott everything,
targeting one manufacturer at a time, however, may be the way to go.
The american people have been putting up with fluoridation for a very
long time and if we don't start hitting companies where it hurts it
will just continue to go on. Right now, alot of cities and towns are
fighting this but if all of the anti-fluoride groups became a united
across the U.S. against fluoridation we may be able to get a better
handle on the situation and get it banned in our country!
