Does anyone know if there is some water fluoridation in Russia? The
following document suggests that fluoridation may have been
implemented in the city of Nizhnevartovsk. It has the usual WHO-
inspired nonsense: fluoride -- a "micronutrient" ... measures to
"prevent fluoride deficiency"
The Gore-Kiriyenko Commission -- is that Al Gore?

Fluoride Deficiency Segment of Study Tour
Activity # 6m.03.03
Activity Description - A HHS Dental Health Officer accompanied Russian
Dental Health Officials on the fluoride deficiency segment of the
April 1998 USIS Nutrition and Public Health Study Tour which
facilitated informal information exchange regarding fluoridation
programs to prevent fluoride deficiency. The group visited the
American Dental Association headquarters in Chicago as well as The
Colgate-Palmolive Company in New Jersey, where numerous presentations
were made regarding divergent interventions to eliminate fluoride
deficiency. During this trip, tentative plans were made for a pilot
water fluoridation program in Nizhnevartovsk, Russian Federation. At
the written request of the Russian Dental Association, an HHS water
fluoridation engineer and dental health officer will travel to
Nizhnevartovsk in September 1998 to provide technical assistance for
assessing needs to establish water fluoridation in that city.
