This message is about Human beings, Democracy, UNHCR, Refugees, The Iraqis,
Islam, Kurds, Human rights, Respect, Money, Donations, Angelina Jolie,
Pavarotti, Giorgio Armani, Donors, Peace, History, Campaigns and about you if
you care about these words.
Hi there,
I am SAM, an Iraqi refugee living in Lebanon at the moment; I have spent the
last 10 years of my life as a refugee registered with the UNHCR in Beirut. The
last 4 years, I have spent as an activist for peace and human rights (especially
refugees and asylum seekers) on the Internet; I'm also books author and ebooks
publisher. I have launched many campaigns to improve our situation as refugees
in Lebanon and hopefully bring more understanding to our problems worldwide. I
helped make many changes and improvements at the UNHCR office in Beirut; I used
the Internet as the field for my activities (you can read more about that in my
free ebook 'MY CAMPAIGNS'). All my ebooks are free and could be download from my
sites.
This is my newest campaign, it's about the illegal and humiliating actions of
the UNHCR, who using photos of refugees as banners and human-buttons to collect
money. This is an abuse of the dignity and humanity of the refugees and must
stop immediately and a clear public apology present by The United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees. My friends, I am talking about the pictures you can
see here: http://un77.topcities.com Where you can read the rest of this message
as web page.
Also you can read my new campaign 'Urgent, we need smile' here:
http://unhcrlebanon.freewebpage.org/smile.html
For more info about UNHCR and life of refugees you can read my free ebooks. I
invite you as fellow humans and members of the world community to support my
campaign by reading my article on my site and see the human-buttons. The
campaign is to support and improve the UNHCR http://www.unhcr.ch especially
after the last scandals in the UN and UNHCR, just for example: The refugees
allege that UNHCR staff is selling most of the food items they are supposed to
be supplied.
"They aren't supplying sufficient food to us because they sell most of the food
items," they allege: http://allafrica.com/stories/200503140214.html
Here is another example: Burmese Refugees Withdraw Protest Against UNHCR
http://www.mizzima.com/archives/news-in-2005/news-in-april/12-April05-22.htm
"We make demonstration and fast because the UNHCR office in Cairo did nothing
for our problem..." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4440730.stm
Together we will build better world.
You could reach me fast via this form:

Hi all. Finally had a few minutes to get my photos put up from the 2005 St. Thomas fire muster. Most of the photos are from the parade with a few from the park before I was called away. Enjoy
Hi everyone. I found out about this a couple of days ago. In Mooresville N.C. the fire dept. now has a pumper assigned to Engine 3 decked out with a stripe package and numbers from Dale Earnhardt Inc. to commanerate the death of Dale Earnhardt.
Does anyone live in that area? If so, could I ask/beg of you if you could get a couple of pictures of this truck? According to the story I saw on TV this truck has become sort of an attraction on it's own and the fire fighters love having their pictures taken with the truck.
The Fire Buffs of Illinois along with the 5-11 Club of Chicago hosts
its annual Fire Engine Rally from 8am to 2pm, Saturday June 18th at
the Chicago Fire Academy, 558 West DeKoven Street. A number of
modern and antique fire engines and apparatus will be on display with
demonstrations and a swap meet. Admission is free and firetruck
enthusiasts of all ages are welcome! Food and beverage are
available. For more information, call (312 287 6233) or email me
offline or to this listserv. Come on out and say hello!

Sorry if you have seen this post in other forums' but I'm having
trouble locating parts.
I'm restoring a 1949 Ward LaFrance 56T, with a Waukesha 6-SRKR motor.
Do you have any resources for something as simple as an oil filter?
The one on there now is marked as an AC C-408 and I have a manual that
also shows a WIX CW-12600M and a PUROLATOR T-126 but all three are old
numbers that do not cross to anything nowadays. It's not the insert
type that slides into a canister, mine is a self contained type.
I have a schematic drawing of the oil filter and it's placement on the
block included and that may help with the explanations of what I'm
looking for.
I'd appreciate any help or leads you can provide to me on this matter.
Thanks
Sorry, Mike. you need to cut and paste the entire link, including what is not underlined. it will take, but may need to be done in two steps. alternative is to just click on my carrier's website http://www.cwgcollectorcar.com and look at featured vehicles and find this month's picture. Take care. - Doug

Are you talking about the green '49 Quint remfg into a '73 1000
Series? I see it posted at the SPAAMFAA site - www.spaamfaa.com
Green is very cool.

FOR SALE: 1949 American LaFrance 700 Series Quint--remanufactured
in 1973 with a 1000 Series cab. It has a 6V71 Detroit Diesel engine,
4-speed Allison automatic transmission, air brakes, and a 100-foot
aerial. The ground ladders pictured are included, as are all of the
lights and the SirenLite. The aerial operated as designed when it
was last tried in October 2004. We haven't done anything to the
truck, however, apart from driving it. From what we were told by the
fire department, the pump was disconnected. The truck itself is in
overall great shape, and it's very presentable. The tires are in
fair shape. It does have a leak at what appears to be a fitting for
one of the air supply hoses underneath the cab, so, once it's
parked, the air pressure leaks out. That's the only problem that
we've noticed with it. It's always been stored inside here and will
continue to be. Asking $5500.00 or best reasonable offer--it's time
to thin-out the collection (once again), so, don't be shy! Contact
Tom at tommfalk@... or 317-844-5177--e-mail works best. Located
