Good afternoon. Hopefully what I am now hearing from two different state departments is actually what is happening. I have just spoken to the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and the Autism Scholarship Program and confirmed a report from OBM (The Office of Business Management) that Autism Scholarship Program payments are now processing and will be sent out next Wednesday. The issue being stated was the OBM's fiscal office that handles disbursements for the ODE system had a glitch or there was miscommunication regarding applying the ASP payments to the 2010 budget instead of the 2009 budget. This caused the system to not release funds. This has also been confirmed with Senator Harris's office as well.
I will inform the advocates and other ASP providers that I spoke to yesterday about the new update and we will what to see if start receiving payments in the next 10 days.
