Hi all! It is a rainy day here so I thought about sharing with you some good indoor "walking" tapes I use. They might be good if you don't have time to get out with your poles or if it is raining.
The one I have been using is "Kathy Smith's Matrix Method Power Walk for Weight Loss." She has a good 10 minute walk on there that I am finding is very effective for me right now both exercise wise and time wise. I can always find 10 minutes to get this done.
Leslie Sansone also has a number of good walking tapes. She has "walks" anywhere from 1 mile to 3 miles. I especially like one she does with weights. She uses some fancy weighted balls, but I just use my hand weights.
With the indoor walking, you walk in place and then you do a few simple other moves like step side to side, step up and step back, etc. Nothing too complicated or "dancy". It all keeps the nice rhythm of a good walk which I find
very soothing.
