I cleaned my kitchen today, and found partial bottles of soda and Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade. I poured them down the drain. I can't drink the soda, Jim won't drink the lemonade, and neither of us needs to be drinking them at all. I was very proud of me. I like that lemonade.
And I realized today that I am caffeine and carbonation free, and have been for 2 months. Which could explain why my personality is changing somewhat. Donna thinks I'm amusing. I'm not so sure. I'll keep you posted.

Speaking of food addictions - I read in "You: On a Diet" that high fructose corn syrup (found in a great deal of processed foods) makes you both hungry and unable to shut off your appetite. Eating anything with high fructose corn syrup will not make the hunger go away.
I tried to take note of this affect after reading about it, and I do believe it to be true. After eating a handful of carrots, I feel satisfied and my energy is good and I feel more alert. I eat a processed cookie, and I feel sluggish and still hungry.
