Welcome! This is the home page of the Fairfield Community Emergency Response Team (FCERT). The FCERT Program, under the banner of the National Citizen Corps program, educates team volunteers about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact the members area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, FCERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. FCERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.

Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Must be 18 years or older;
- Must be a resident of, or work within the city of Fairfield;
- Must not have a misdemeanor conviction with one year of application date; and
- Must not have any felony convictions.
