Friends of Alzheimer Caregivers is a non-profit organization that offers understanding, help and hope to Southern California families, overwhelmed by the daily care of loved ones with dementing illnesses. Friends provides short-term financial grants to family caregivers who need professional dementia care and do not qualify for assistance from other sources. Friends sponsors educational programs for caregivers, including an annual conference, the Celebration of Caregiving, that brings together more than 300 professionals and family members from throughout Southern California to learn from one another.
