Hi Cecil,
:~ )
------
Thank you for your advice. No I did not use the meter without the converter.
They sent me a Radio Shack converter. Unfortunately the meter is not
working. The sent me a replacement (still 115VAC) meter which behaves no
better.
------
I realised, after sending my email, how potentially insulting of your
intelligence my reply might have seemed. My apologies!
Have you tried a new converter? What actually happens when you switch the
meter on? Do you get a completely blank screen?
When I first switched my meter on the readout fluctuated 2lbs to3 lbs
either side of zero. I was worried that it might be defective so I emailed
Pete Sisco about it. He reassured me this is quite normal and acceptable, as
long as the fluctuation is within reasonable tolerances.
------
What adds insult to injury is that EF does not seem overly concerned or
resposive to my problem. I am waiting them to reply to my furious email.
------
I'm sad this is not working out smoothly for you. I've always found EF
routinely very quick in their response to my enquiries. I hope you get
everything sorted out very soon, and join me in this adventure. :~ )
Regards
Steve
