Hi Steve
Thank you for your advice. No I did not use the meter without the converter.
They sent me a Radio Shack converter. Unfortunately the meter is not working.
The sent me a replacement (still 115VAC) meter which behaves no better.
What adds insult to injury is that EF does not seem overly concerned or
resposive to my problem. I am waiting them to reply to my furious email.
I do look forward to be able to use the equipment.
I searched Yahoo and found this Group.
Regards
Cecil Chiam

I live in Singapore and have just received (well 3 weeks ago) both
Explosive Fitnes equipment but the XF meter (for US 115VAC) does not
work.
I believe in the UK you also operate on 230VAC 50Hz power supply. Do
you have any problem with the meter. What configuration did they
give you. Do you have to use a power/frequency converter?
PS How long have you been using XF and what has been your experience?

You are quite correct, we do indeed operate on such a power supply (actually
240 Volts). I was fortunate in that I received a meter ready geared to
operate on such a supply, so I do not need a converter. As your meter
operates under 110/115 Volts you will need to purchase a seperate voltage
converter in order to use it on your domestic power supply.
I recommend most strongly you do not operate your meter until you have
purchased the necessary adapter. Running an appliance on the wrong voltage,
especially when the voltage is over-rated, will more than likely damage the
equipment. I'm hoping the XF meters are fitted with protection circuits to
avoid such damage. Please let me know how you get on with this.
I did my first XF workout on 6th June 2003. This was leg press only, as I
didn't have the assembly instructions for the upper body apparatus. I was
able to begin upper body training on 13th August 2003, having received said
instructions. My last workout was on 27th August. I've been unable to train
since that date, due to injuries sustained at work, but I should be able to
resume training next week. I'm really looking forward to it. :~ )
My experience has been nothing but positive. This training method works
wonderfully well. In those 2 1/2 months I definitely gained what I consider
to be significant improvements in my muscular, and also in my energy levels.
It's an amazing thing to be drying off after a shower, look down at your
legs and think, "are those MY legs!?"
Cecil, where did you hear about this group?
I emailed Pete Sisco before Christmas, telling him I'd formed this group and
requesting he notify his customers and post a link on his website. We need
more members!

Steve
