Re: [Explosive_Fitness] Looking for SCT info

Hi rule1red,

I too wondered why i never saw photos of anybody who has done static contraction
training. I've seen what Pete Sisco and john Little look like during an
interview on the Anthony Robbins get the edge program, which was probably filmed
about 2-3 years ago, and i'll tell you that Pete Sisco's body type didn't look
at all convincing to represent the program he was marketing. He seemed very
large, but not in a muscular sense. John Littles body type was a bit more
convincing as he didn't look huge as a bodybuilder would, but looked fit.

Coming from conventional training, I started with static contraction training
about 4 months ago, using conventional equipment. Every workout my results got
better. A few weeks into it i injured both my elbow joints, which was very
painful and rested for a month. I no longer do static contraction because the
weights you build up to are too heavy for your
joints to handle, causing serious injury. That was through my own experience any
way.

I no longer have the desire to become huge as i use to. I just want to have a
lean tonned physique.

I have been doing power factor training for about 6 weeks now, going to the gym
twice per week, and it seems to be working. I havent taken any measurements to
prove this, but just by observing my own body i can see that I am getting more
defined and stronger, but I do also do alot of running and swimming which helps.
I follow the power factor traing as stated in the train smart e-book but with 1
slight modification. After I have completed the powerfactor workout, i quickly
go back to every exercise and do a 1 set max of full repititions, till failure,
each week i try and do better that the last and each workout not only my power
factor but also my full reps have improved.
I have gotten much more stronger, and this can be proved through my enhanced
progress through my full reps every week. I know that progress can definetely be
measured by full reps. I beleive that the power factor helps with my full reps
and the full reps help with the power factor. This is just some info from my own
experimentation and experience. By all means eveybody should do what is right
for them, their body type and what they want to achieve.

Thanks for your time.

Tome
