Hi to all,
:~ )
Welcome to the group. Welcome also to the other new members I've rudely
failed to greet and welcome. I apologise for that...I've been out of touch
recently. Try to forgive the unforgivable.
It's good that you are taking the time to check things out regarding SCT and
the Explosive Fitness equipment. I, too, have come across negative reports
pertaining to SCT. I think Thomas is quite correct in his recommendation to
obtain contact details of people who use Explosive Fitness equipment. This
type of training will work for some and not for others, as with all things,
and you'll likely receive both negative and positive feedback. Ultimately
the best approach is to take the plunge and give it a try for yourself, even
if you start out using conventional gym equipment.
Your post is as timely as it is welcome. I've recently recovered from a very
serious illness, and feel ready to resume training. Your post has served as
the nudge in the ribs I needed to get my training under way. Starting
tomorrow (Sunday, 23rd January) I'll be training for the next 16 weeks, when
I'll publish my results to the forum. This will include details of my diet,
bodyweight changes, and measurements of the bodyparts I can conveniently
measure unassisted, such as thigh and arm girth. Would anybody like to join
me in this?
Regards,
Steve

Subject: [Explosive_Fitness] Looking for SCT info
Hi All,
I recently joined this group in the hopes of finding out some more
info about SCT. I would like to know what type of results people are
getting with these SCT Explosive Fitness machines. I've heard from
many people, and read several articles about this type of training,
and they all seem to have negative feedback. Also, several of the
competitive bodybuilders at my gym have tried this training, and all
say the same thing, that you will increase the amount you can hold in
the static position, but none of them saw any increase in actual
muscle size. They were all adamant that there is no way you can add
new muscle by training only once every six weeks or so, as the SCT
books state.
Does anybody know of any websites, or have any pictures of anyone who
has put on new muscle from this type of training? Also, does anyone
have any pictures of the authors, Pete Sisco, John Little, or Tony
Reno? I would very much like to see what these guys look like, and
see what type of shape they are in. I would imagine they use these
machines, and would be in great shape themselves. I and many people I
work out with are very curious to know. I am posting this email at
both Yahoo groups in the hopes of getting some feedback.
Thanks in advance,
