My BB background initially consisted of full range reps done
frequently w/ some chemical help. I stagnated for a long time doing
this then I read PFT and was fortunate enough to comprehend it, alot
of people aren't. Once I understood the whole lbs/min. thing & the
undeniable fact that it is entirely possible to need 6 weeks to
totally recover from a single (1) intensive w/out I began to make
progress in size & strength I would have thought impossible before
PFT. The hardest thing about PFT/SCT for me is resisting the strong
temptation to train before I've recovered. Beleive me its taken 3
yrs of PFT for me learn to ^ that lesson. PFT/SCT is w/out a doubt
IMO the most effective biologically correct system of training there
is. When you've reduced the ROM of (0) and you've increased the load
you're using to where you can only prevent the weight from falling
for 5 seconds you've reached a point where its basically impossible
to increase the intensity any further. Whether the gains you get are
size or strength or a combination is totally up to your DNA.
