Hi Brian,
i started doing 3 sets of 10 using the ab roller from the knees.
then i saw the article i posted that recommended doing two sets of 20
from the knees until you were "comfortable" with that and then moving
to the standing position, modified by rolling up a plank at first.
im in the process of adapting to the standing position and am
currently doing 1 set of 20 from the knees and one set of 10 from the
modified standing position. the standing position is great because i
have so much control over the intensity of the exercise by how far i
roll up the plank. im afraid i cant help you with how to integrate
using the ab roller into your SCT training and refer you to shawn or
some other SCT trainer....i suppose the best way to do it would be to
do it the same day as your SCT workout...what i did was to try and do
it midway between SCT workouts...but my SCT progress was not
consistent and maybe that was a factor...for full disclosure, i was
doing other "conventional" weight training for some of the time i was
doing SCT and i doubt just using the ab roller was a significant part
of my lack of SCT success....but who knows....
hope that gives you food for thought...
