> I have my system set up on carpet. Is that fine?
YES IT'S FINE TO HAVE IT ON CARPET.
>
> My meter when I zero it out is still sporadic before I commit my
exercise. One, the zero is not staying close at all! It is going to
like negative 10-30 or positive 10-30. The closer I get my hands to
the meter, it gets closer to zero, but once I move my hands away, it
start going all over the place again.
MORE THAN LIKELY THERE IS TENSION SOMEWHERE REGISTERING ON THE
METER "OR" THE METER IS OUT OF WHACK (IT'S AT LEAST 4-5 YRS OLD BY
NOW) HOWEVER SINCE YOU HAVE NO PROBLEM IN THE LEG PRESS POSITION I
WOULD GUESS THAT THERE IS TENISON ON THE CABLE OR CHAINS
>
> When I perform my tricep press and bench press, the meter is giving
me a negative reading. Does this have anything to do with the fact
that I cannot get a zero reading? Also, when I am performing the
bench press, the whole upper body unit is moving! Is the bench
suppose to be sitting on the foot stand of the upper body unit?
Please advise. I am so ready to start working out.
>
> It is so odd, because I am having no problem with the lower body
unit. I can get it zeroed out. Do I have something too tight on the
upper body unit? Thanks for all of your help in advance.
WHEN YOU PERFORM THE BENCH PRESS, YOU SHOULD NOTICE "SLACK" IN THE
CHAIN "ABOVE" THE BAR. THUS THE CHAIN BELOW THE BAR SHOULD
BE "TIGHT". YOU SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR THE SAME ON OTHER EXERCIES
I.E. SHOULDER PRESS, THE CHAIN OPPOSITE THE FORCE SHOULD BE "SLACK".
JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY HOW LONG HAVE YOU HAD THE MACHINE?
ALSO WHERE DO YOU LIVE. AND WHERE IS THE MACHINE I.E. BASEMENT ,
GARAGE, UTILTIY ROOM ETC.
THE REASON I ASK IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT HUMIDITY CAN MESS WITH THE
METER A BIT AS WELL.
