Using the lap pads for Bench Press.   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #24 of 4573 |
Hi to all,

:~ )

I tried a little experiment today. Earlier in the day I did Bench Press, and
benched 13 lbs less than the last time I benched (a sure sign it is time to
increase my rest period). Out of curiosity, later in the day I fitted the
two lap pads to the bar and performed Bench Press again. I benched a full 20
lbs more than earlier, for a gain of 7 lbs on last workout's figure. I think
this is significant. I probably could have done better had I increased the
height of the bar to compensate for the thickness of the pad (I confess I
forgot to do so). Perhaps you might like to try this. If you do, please let
us know how it went.

Regards,

Steve
