Steven,
I've ran into a similar problem with conventional equipment. If you
do more than your body weight, you come up off the floor! My son
works out with me and he has laid down across my calfs to add some
support, but that didn't last long! The gym I attend has a Nautilus
crunch machine that has support for the legs just above the knees and
hooks for the feet. It works ok, but I'm at the point where I can't
add any more weight, so I will have to figure out something! I guess
I can't complain too much, since it is progress!
