RE: [Explosive_Fitness] my experience with old machine

I greatly preferred old machine to new one. I had both the old leg
press and the upper body machines. I miss the old machines a lot in
terms of ease of use, wear and tear on my body (of the bad kind), wear
and tear on my carpet, time it takes to set-up exercises, and sturdiness
of construction. I feel the advertising for the new machine was greatly
misleading and am sorry I paid the money and equally sorry I don't have
the old machines any more.

I agree that both of the old machines were a complete (and unnecessary)
nightmare to put together (not even counting that not all the parts came
when I first got it). Machine set-up, however, is a one time pain
compared to the on-going pain of using the new machines. After they
were put together, I loved the old machines. The only thing I can't
speak to concerning the old machines is my actual success (or not) of
muscle gains. I didn't get the equipment to monitor fat % until I got
the XF7000.

It should be noted that I appear to have the minority opinion on the
issue of comparing the old XF machines to the new one - at least on this
newsgroup. But since you asked, I decided to answer. :-)

Subject: [Explosive_Fitness] my experience with old machine

I have had a great experience with the old machine. The worst
part was
putting it together. I found it very difficult but I'm not the
best
with tools. I've been using the machine for awhile and have had
great
results. When I started training on the machine I weighed about
155 to
160 pounds. I now weigh in at around 175 to 180 pounds at a
height of
5 feet 7 inches. I feel these gains are from the workouts and
diet.
Nothing special about diet just trying to eat clean. I was
thinking
the new machine new machine would be better since there are no
chains
like on the old version. I do not have the leg press. I perform
squats
and toes raises on the one machine and love them. How does
everyone
compare these types of squats to th eleg press on th enew
machine.
Does anyone prefer the old machine to the new machine?
thanks
Rob Ulanowski
