Re: [Explosive_Fitness] XF in NZ

Hi Tim & all,

:~ )

Welcome to the group. I'm delighted you've decided to join.

<I have had the XF equipment for about 2 months now and all is going
<well. My main reason for seeking you out was to get feedback from
<others to see how their physical reults were progressing.

It's great that things are going well for you. Your reason for joining is a
very good one. This is the main reason I formed the group. Such feedback can
prove invaluable, especially when starting with something new.

<I have a food courier business in NZ and run all day, hence training
<for me is over far and few between.

Which makes XF training your ideal exercise vehicle. The same will apply to
all users, especially when we get to an advanced level. A few minutes per
workout, every six weeks or more leaves time in abundance for doing other
things such as running a business. That's one of the advantages of this kind
of training.

<I have had friends and family getting great reults over the last 8
<weeks, but I was really wanting to know how your memebers physical
<changes had come along.

In my own experience, limited as it has been by my accident at work, the
results have been very favourable indeed. If you read my recent post you'll
see I trained for just 2 1/2 months or so before my injuries put me
temporarily out of comission. In that short time I definitely experienced
noticeable gains in muscle size, strength and shape, especially my legs.
Bear in mind I'm 50 years of age, and started out very underweight. I'm
still underweight (you'll find more meat on a butcher's apron), yet I'm
confident that will change. In short, the system works.

<We are getting fantastic gains on the meter but haven't had many
<physical changes to speak of. How long has it taken for you or anyone
<reading to see the physical change.

I first noticed improvements after about 6 weeks. I think strength gains
will tend to come first, with improvements in size and shape following along
a bit later.

<Was the change to the desired effect or shape you wanted, or were some
<muscle groups lacking?

I had to wait for a little while for the assembly instructions for the upper
body apparatus, so I actually trained my legs for a bit longer than my
torso. That, and the fact that the leg press is such an effective exercise,
likely accounts for my legs (especially the quadriceps) developing and
strengthening more than the rest of my body.

<Is everyone doing a 3 day cycle of A & B workouts for SCT 1st and then
<lengthening it to a 6 day cycle. How often do you train? Is OTS
<(Over Trarining Syndrome)a factor when you just want to blow past your
<PB(Personal Best)?

As I mentioned above, I initially didn't have use of the upper body
apparatus, so my initial routine was not the usual one. I plan to resume my
training this coming weekend, having recovered from my injuries. I'll be
following the 4 week introductory workout advocated in the Train Smart ebook
by Pete Sisco. If you don't have that book I recommend you buy it. Needless
to say, I'll be especially mindful of what is going on with my body as I
train.

<I would value hearing any feedback on length of time to see physical
<changes.

I, too, would value such feedback. Once we have a larger membership such
feedback will become more and more valuable.

Once again, welcome to the group.

Regards,

Steve
