Evans Syndrome & Dental Work   Message List

Hi All,

I know this may sound crazy, but I believe that dental work might have
something to do with the flare-ups of Evans Syndrome. I was wondering
if anyone else has ever noticed this connection. I had a splenectomy
about 2 weeks ago, and my counts had been fine afterwards... until I
went to have 2 cavities filled earlier this week. I began to feel
lethargic the day after the dental work. Then I thought back; I was
hospitalized in December (pre-splenectomy), suprisingly only a few
days after a visit to the dentist. I am currently trying to cross-
match my dental visits with Evans Syndrome episodes, going back as far
as possible. It would be nice to know if anyone else has ever
experienced this connection... it seems plausable that dental work
could act as an autoimmune trigger. Please let me know...

Best Wishes,

Mike, 21 (Evans since 8 yrs. old)
