We met with the radiation oncologist today, 3 months post-cyberknife.
There really wasn't any definitive news. He said he was a little
disappointed that they don't see more change. The lymph node/tumor
seems to be about the same size, possibly slightly smaller. So, we
don't really know if it is remaining tissue or if the tumor/sarcoma is
dead. the plan is to followup again in 3 months with another scan and
see if it is changing. No growth = no sarcoma.

So not great news but not bad and mom is feeling pretty darn good. And
she is pretty darn excited because for MOther's Day I got tickets for
the two of us and my aunt to all go to Tina Turner in October! :) So
that is her focus - keeping up on the good times yet to come.

Just wanted to give an update. Thanks for the support we have gotten on
this board. I think about all of you and your families and wish all of
us could be free from ever thinking or hearing of sarcoma again.

hadn't heard from anyone else - hope you are all doing well and
fighting the fight.

My mom had her followup last week and they think the spot has
possibly shrunk. It definitely has not grown, so they think it is
just "inert tissue" remaining of that lypmh node and not cancer.
She will have another scan in 6 months. She is feeling good - gets
tired sometimes, but they feel that is just from all she has been
thru, especially losing most of her right lung in late 2007. So she
can deal with the tiredness. We just had a family reunion a couple
weeks ago and it was a blast. She was out on the lake canoeing with
my brother and just loved it. She hadn't been out in a canoe in
years. So we are happy to still be having all these great times and
memories with mom, even after fighting this for about 11 years now.
We consider that a real blessing.

AGain, I sure appreciate all the support on this board and think of
all of you often!
