Description

Welcome to End Verbal Abuse (EVA)! EVA is a group for adults who are dedicated to and want to interact with other members on list regarding the *following: leaving or ending relations with a chronic verbal abuser in a healthy manner; resolving their own issues when applicable (denial, love/relationship addiction, abusive behavior, et al); protecting their children from abuse; and recovering after leaving an abuser. The list owner may discuss other kinds of abuse, too, when she sees fit (such as governmental).

*EVA is not catered to those who want to remain with an abuser. You can be a member even if you stay with someone who abuses you, however, posts about staying with an abuser are only permitted upon the list owner's discretion.

The archives are temporarily closed to clean out some virtual dust. Otherwise, a volume of abuse articles can be found in the EVA ARCHIVES once you are a member. All material is for educational purposes and not meant to replace a doctor.

By the way, since a portion of those working on ending abusive relationships have codependency issues, EVA is linked with CODEPENDENTS. This means you are welcome to join that group, too. Finally, if a newbie you may find it helpful to check out the VERBAL ABUSE QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE!
