AGENDA: EVA is an informational, anti abuse group for adults who are dedicated to: leaving or ending relations with a chronic verbal abuser in a healthy manner; resolving your own issues; protecting your children from abuse; and recovering after leaving an abuser. Articles on these topics can be found in the ARCHIVES once you are a member. All material is for educational purposes and not meant to replace a doctor.

EVA is not catered to those who want to remain with an abuser. You can be a member even if you stay with someone who abuses you, but posts will not be permitted asking for support with this or encouraging others to stay. It's also required that you work on your own issues such as denial; codependency; love/relationship addiction; abusive behavior (if applicable), etc.

RULES: are based on common decency. This is a non religious, non gender biased group because both men AND women can be abusers! No "us poor women" and "you know how men are" comments. No advertisement of P. Evans' work or other male discriminatory authors. No feminist speeches. No posting full names or web links of those you discuss. No using profanity in posts (even to repeat what an abuser has said. You must use asterisks instead. I.e., "d*mn"). No being abusive. No business links.
