12 Suggested Steps:
END VIOLENCE RATIONAL RECOVERY

1 * We admitted we have Power over Violence, that our lives can become manageable.

2 * Came to believe that a Power (our Community) greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity: Reach one, Teach one ! It takes a Village !

3 * Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to ending Violence

4 * Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

5 * Admitted to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our bias about "Justifiable Violence"

6 * Were entirely ready to remove all these erroneous thoughts

7 * Humbly ask our peers and families to point out our shortcomings.

8 * Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.

9 * Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10 * Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.

11 * Sought through meditation to improve our conscious contact with Peace at Home and Abroad, for knowledge of Truth and the Power to carry that out.

12 * Having had a social awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to individuals suffering from violent behaviors, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

While we honor the value and effectiveness of Faith-based 12 steps programs, we want to embrace our atheists and agnostics Brothers and Sisters in their path of healing towards Peace at Home and Abroad.
